quick links gone

Postby marco_1978_spyder » Mon Jan 01, 2007 10:17 am

I noticed that the little piece of paper you can click on to get to the latest post on a thread is missing.

is it gone?

it was pretty handy.

It's still there for me.

Are you logged in or viewing as a guest?

I made some changes to the view a guest sees to help get the pages into search engines more effectively. Search bots are always guests so there are some subtle differences now between the guest view and the logged-in view.

1980 Chevrolet Monza Coupe

I suspect many didnt know, seeing as how no one noticed it was gone 2-3 days ago.

Its handy for me since I'm mostly surfing with a laptop, one less reason to use the touchpad is nice.

It was in the 'last post' column.

Next to the author's name was a tiny little square and an arrow.
click on that and you could go directly to the last post.

Great for hot topics, and for threads with more than one page.

The pages do look alot cleaner without the extra icon though.

Marco, do you the paper icon as shown in the picture below, or something else?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Dennis, after you made the SEO changes the latest post link in viewforum.php has disappeared. It used to be a little link after the poster's name.

I think that's what Marco is referring to...
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

Right, I remember that now. That functionality is still there.

Just click on the date/time of the last post in the same column--it does the same thing but is (supposedly) better for search engine ranking.
