We're back

Postby monzamess » Sun Jan 07, 2007 1:18 am

The board is once again on a new site.

I've lost a bit of sleep on this, which is tough when you have 3 kids under 3 and don't get much sleep anyway. Oh, and $150 for a new account.

The former web host was holding our data hostage, but Colin came through and got it back.

Almost everything works, but some of the attached images got lost.

Also, I've neutered the search function, since there is a chance that was causing the server overloads that got us into the mess. I'll restore it later. In the meantime, you can use Google with the term -site:forums.h-body.org to search the forums without putting any strain on our server.

Hey, if it took an emergency website relocation to get you back, then it was all worth it! :)

Dennis & Colin,
How can we contribute some $$ to offset this?
This shouldn't have to come from your pockets.
Let me know how, (maybe Paypal??), & I will gladly contribute.

Well, we're in a holding pattern.

If this host works, I can eat the cost. The cost for this plan is actually less (for more features) than I've been paying for h-body.org since 2001. I just wasn't expecting it last week. :)

However... if this host plan can't handle the traffic, I'll have to find an upgraded plan, which is considerably more $$$--then we'll definitely be taking donations!
