What happened?

I just tried to get on and got this message;

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Too many connections [1040]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

If it just happened once, I'll assume it's an intermittent error. Sometimes crap happens. It's a shared host so maybe another site was hogging the SQL server for a short time.

Looks like you were able to get back in--any lingering problems?

Yeah, Dennis is correct. If too many requests are being made the mySQL server it will return that error. It's usually temporary until the request load drops.
