password change

Postby spencerforhire » Wed May 19, 2010 2:03 pm

Anyone else have trouble logging in today? Someone tried to hack my password! I have my Firefox remember my logins and passwords so normally it's automatic; but just now I had to have a new one sent to my email. Apparently someone had "exceeded the number of allowable attempts" at my password. NOT COOL. Now I'm all paranoid and have to go check my other board logins.

It's a good practice to always use a different password for every website. At the very least, use different passwords for banking/private websites than you use for chat forums.
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.
