Try this:

Step 1: Get your pictures on your local computer.
If you already have the pictures online somewhere, go to that site and look at the picture. Right-click on the picture and choose "Save Picture As..." then save it on your Desktop or wherever you want to save it. If you already have your pictures on your local computer then you can obviously skip this step.

Step 2: Upload to your garage. First, go to the garage link on this site and choose your car under "My Vehicles." Then click the link "Manage Gallery" which is near the middle of the screen. In the gallery link, you can add new images. Click "Browse" and then find your pictures on your local computer. Then click "Add New Image" and it will get uploaded.

Alternate method:

Step 1: Get the address of your existing picture.
Go find your picture online. Highlight the URL in the Address bar (http:///whatever) and press CTRL+C to copy it. Make sure this link ends in .JPG or .GIF. If not, try the first method listed above instead.

Step 2: Put the picture in your garage.
First, go to the garage link on this site and choose your car under "My Vehicles." Then click the link "Manage Gallery" which is near the middle of the screen. In the gallery link, you can add new images. Go to the "Enter a URL" box and press CTRL+V to paste your picture's address in the box. Then click "Add New Image."

Hope this helps...

Resizing pictures

Postby classic_cruiser » Sun Aug 27, 2006 7:20 pm

Dave, the pics need to be smaller than 1024 x 768. I took a look at your pics in v8 monza and the couple that I looked at were 1600 x 1200. If you want to resize them, you need to use a photo edit program.

If you want to attempt resizing these yourself:

Most windows computers have Microsoft Paint installed... go to Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->Paint and open the program. Open your picture on your local machine using the file menu. Select the Image --> Stretch/Skew menu and you'll see a 2 boxes to type in a percentage... for a 1600 picture to be resized to 1024, put in 64% in both the horizontal and vertical boxes and press OK. Then save your picture using save As and give it a different name (so as not to mess up your original picture). When you browse for your picture as stated in one of the replies above, pick the renamed one.

If you have access to a better photo editor like Photoshop or some of the Kodak packages that come with digital cameras, sometimes these are easire to use.

Hope this helps!

Terry
