Have there been a rash of scams I didnt hear about?
And yes I would feel fine inquiring about about parts from a one post or 2500 poster.
I'll ask questions and be able to determine if the sale is legit or not. I dont just send out money to anyone. And I'm a reasonable good judge of charachter.
Why are we trying to protect people who can't tell if a sale is legit or not?
All this is gonna do, is make newbies think were a bunch of idiot elitists.
sorry if my opinion is harsh, and anyone takes offense.
I generally agree with you, but it's not my site
I can understand why some forum admins do this, personally I don't think this one needed it, but once again, not my site.
It's my opinion that if a recipe has worked well for 3-4 years, don't change it. This site isn't a mega-board, and therefore doesn't need much moderation, in my opinion, just kill spam as it comes, and be done with it. Only need 3-4 "regulars" to police for blatant commercial spam, and delete it. Minimums, etc just add headache IMO.
I do agree that we should have a "craigslist/ebay" forum separate from the For Sale section though, and hope to see one in the near future.
I just hope that this doesn't lead to a bunch of petty bickering, I've seen online communities fall completely apart for less...
