WHAT AM I TO DO??????? NEED INPUT

Postby mldeolde » Sun Jun 03, 2007 11:54 am

OK GUYS HERE IS MY RANT: #1 what do i do with a guy i did a favor for and got him some parts he needed,or at least he thought he needed, and after almost six months and several promises to pay i still havent seen a dime? #2 what do ido when it's a member of the site? #3 what do i do if it is a highly esteemed member of the site? I WOULD REALLY LIKE SOME INPUT ON THIS SITUATION BECAUSE ALL THE UNFOFILLED PROMISES OF PAYMENT IS REALLY STARTING TO TICK ME OFF BUT IF I REVEAL THE PERSONS IDENITY I FEEL ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO GET BLACK BALLED FROM THE SITE OVER THIS. :x :x :x

A gentleman never airs his dirty laundry. It will not help if you talk about it on the site. Cut your losses and go on with life. Just let them know on a PM and be done with it. Maybe they don't know that it has upset you.

Hopefully that person is reading this post and deals with it properly. Taking stuff and not paying... NOT COOL. I think we are all adult enough to be mature about this. We are not a bunch of ricer punks. It's unhealthy for the H community to allow some of us to not compensate eachother for parts because it could happen to other members.

On the other hand it is a bit passive aggressive to post a note about it here. LOL. It might work though.

To both involved: Stay open-minded and come to a useful compromise for the sake of the community as a whole.

THAT HAS TO BE THE STUPIDEST THING I,VE READ , someone says they are gonna pay you for something , they admit it on a public site and then disappear to avoid contact and your are supposed to cut your losses , THAT,S BS!!! WTF is the point of having a site with a reputation section and a little thumbsup/down icons under one,s name and a list of supposedly reputable members and that,s not supposed to mean a DAMN THING !!!!

i myself would want to know if someone is difficult to deal with , then i can make the decision on weather or not i want to take a chance dealing with them .

THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR YOUR INPUT. ON ONE HAND I'M REALLY PISSED BUT ON THE OTHER I DON'T WANT TO CREATE THE DIVISION AND BAD FEELINGS THAT DIVULGING THE NAME OF THE PERSON INVOLVED MIGHT CAUSE. I WANT THIS SITE TO CONTINUE AS A VALUABLE ASSET TO THE H-BODY COMUNITY AS A HOLE AND REALLY DON'T WANT TO RISK DESTROYING IT FOR EVERYONE HERE.

I feel for you, but I would not have sent the parts without being paid first. That's a general rule that I almost never break unless I really know the person and have dealt with them before and I know they are in a big hurry for something. I don't see a problem saying who it is as long as you have given them ample opportunity to settle up and you let them know that you will let the rest of us know what's going on. This is not just to bad mouth the guy, but it could save someone else from getting screwed. Things like this are hardly ever an isolated incident.
Always try to work these things out privately, but after a certain point you have to do what you have to do.

I tend to agree with Clyde

1
If you buy something under trust you DO NOT break that trust you pay for whatever you buy !!!
2
personally i would like to know who it was so i never end up in the position that you are in now (in my case though it would be paying for product not recieved )
3
this is an open community and there are not that many of us trust is a very important feature

I'm glad everything is now working out,the truth is always better and easier to take than silence,it will set you free,,
trying not to preach here,,,
had it happen to me last year and I lost 600.00,,,
I learned a lot from the experience and count it as a cheap education,,
life is short,forgive,,,forget,,,and be happy

Well said Charles.

Life is short , and often when we harbor anger or resentment the only one we are truly hurting is ourselves.

Letting go can work wonders.

And yes it is good to see that if nothing else there has been some dialogue to replace the silence. When confronted with the absence of knowledge or facts we often allow our minds to conjure up the worst.

Man is a credulous animal, and must believe something; in the absence of good grounds for belief, he will be satisfied with bad ones.
