Fixing the dates

Postby Musicman » Sun Jul 22, 2007 2:12 am

Is there a way to fix the dates on a post? All I can get is the day followed by a 6 digit number. No actual date :?

It's a problem on your end. Try logging out, clearing your browser cache and then logging back in.

For your post I see:

Actually, this is a weird problem that pops up now and again. The Date format is stored in the user profile. This date format is a computer code that doesn't make much sense to most people. It should be:
D M d, Y g:i a

For some reason, either user error or system error, sometimes this field is "english" or some other value instead, in some users' profiles.

Short version: If your date format is wrong, go into your profile and change the date format to the special code I listed above.

I fixed yours while I was researching the issue and forgot to mention that I did so.

I have had the same problem all along, and I tried to do what you suggested, but it doesn't seem to want to take. Guess I must be doing something wrong. Can you please reset mine? Thanks, John
