LENR - New energy source for the future?

Postby stage169 » Tue May 21, 2013 8:54 pm

I've been watching this forever it seems like but like this article says, if it's not a scam it will change the world. NASA has a couple patent applications for it. I could go on and on.... Just thought some people here might want to check it out. Brian

Hey Art, it is a long story but in 89 a couple guys reported this finding and it got called Cold Fusion. The story is since there was Gov. funding for hot fusion the scientific community slammed any others who talked about Cold Fusion.

What was happening was a short time of heat that could not be explained (still basically true now) from a low energy nuclear reaction (still under debate) from nickel and hydrogen. Now around the globe people have been able to replicate the extra heat but it would only last sometimes for just a few seconds or so.

Enter this Italian guy named Rossi (who has a shady history) and he has maybe stumbled onto an electrical waveform that keeps this reaction happening.

Basically for a few grams of hydrogen and nickel you could heat your house for six Months or make steam and create electricity. The article shows a third party testing of his device and the results are mind boggling. The article mentions gasoline as one of the best power sources and this ecat device goes beyond that. NASA has said it would solve all their payload and propulsion problems. It is almost like free energy which sounds crazy. If we don't see this in the national news in the next Month or so it will be a scam. But on the other hand many reputable people, schools and even NASA have all responded positively to this.

I hope it is real. Only time will tell and it seems that it is speeding up to a conclusion either way.

If you have the time this site spells just about everything out http://lenrweb.com/

Everybody is good here Thanks for asking! I've even worked on my cars some so that is good too! Brian

thanks brian. that short explanation was enough for me to understand this idea. probably someone will kill this idea as it will be too good for everyone and big industries(like oil) will loose.. i once heard a story as a kid about a guy that invented some sort of carb that would allow a car to run on water, and the guy disappeared. probably was just just s story, but it could happen here with this new technology. ill be looking out for a story on this. i get Discover magazine. did they ever do a story on this technolog?. art

I know Popular Science did but most the stuff they show never makes it. It just goes on and on there are stories of Oil companies selling their drilling rights, GE tryed to buy it, Obama would introduce it etc..... All on the know that it is coming. I hope it is real and doesn't get killed. Here is some of the last link, Brian

Here is a new one! Just saw it today. http://www.blacklightpower.com/press/011414-2/

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEWS RELEASE

BlackLight Power, Inc. Announces the Game Changing Achievement of the Generation of Millions of Watts of Power from the Conversion of Water Fuel to a New Form of Hydrogen

Cranbury, NJ (January 14, 2014) — BlackLight Power, Inc. (BLP) today announced that it has produced millions of watts of power with its breakthrough Solid Fuel-Catalyst-Induced-Hydrino-Transition (SF-CIHT) patent pending technology in its laboratories.

Using a proprietary water-based solid fuel confined by two electrodes of a SF-CIHT cell, and applying a current of 12,000 amps through the fuel, water ignites into an extraordinary flash of power. The fuel can be continuously fed into the electrodes to continuously output power. BlackLight has produced millions of watts of power in a volume that is one ten thousandths of a liter corresponding to a power density of over an astonishing 10 billion watts per liter. As a comparison, a liter of BlackLight power source can output as much power as a central power generation plant exceeding the entire power of the four former reactors of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, the site of one of the worst nuclear disasters in history.

Wow, didn't know about that. That story has some history to it, if he made them in the 60's and he has backing now you would think a new one would be around the corner? I don't care what the next power source is I just hope that it is half as good as all these things.

Anti-gravity, I need a skateboard with that :D

I guess when one of these breaks the mean (not main) stream news media with any luck we will see it in our lifetime? Brian

Implications
The present authors are as perplexed as anyone by these developments. As we observed in an earlier blog, Rossi’s work in particular leaves us with three stark choices: (a) Rossi and those working with him or independently have made some fundamental and far-reaching blunder in their experimental work; (b) Rossi is leading a conspiracy of sorts to cover dishonest scientific behavior; or (c) Rossi has made an important discovery with sweeping potential impact.

With each passing month, and with more researchers finding similar results, (a) and (b) look less likely. On the other hand, skepticism is certainly still in order until Rossi comes forward with more details on the designs and control techniques used in his system.

Needless to say, the stakes are very high, for any or all of these projects. Among the potential impacts are:

1.An environmental windfall — enabling a dramatic and rapid conversion of existing coal- and gas-burning electric power plants to a “green” source with minimal fuel costs.
2.Potential applications even in transportation, water purification, small businesses and homes.
3.Most likely, a further dramatic drop in oil prices worldwide.
4.Financial repercussions; according to a new recent report, at least one-half trillion dollars of bonds are at risk if oil prices drop further.
5.Political repercussions; already Saudi Arabia is having great difficulty keeping its economy afloat with the current drop in oil prices and its own longer term goals.
One way or the other, whether these effects are confirmed (and large commercial enterprises engage) or refuted, the next few months promise to make a very interesting chapter in the history of science. Hold on to your hats!

Soooo...
I won't buy Oil stocks!
...so, civilizations before us, made attempts at this and failed and the ones that succeeded left their runways behind like in Peru and left their remnants behind for our civilization to speculate....those peoples are living on other planets that they were able to access in other parts of our solar system, recently discovered by our space travelling "camera" as it did 2 weeks ago ( the recent discovery of a possibly inhabited planet) and everytime we try to take flight to another place our planet dies "again" as will probably happen before we get it right....we will destroy and pollute this one before we get off it! Nuff said......or, I've been asking why," why don't we slow down the "thawing process" of our northern hemisphere muskeg which is releasing gasses and contributing to the warming along with snow and ice melting ...I was wondering at the possibility of injecting Nitrogen into the ground.... ...instead of blowing Trillions upon Trillions of dollars on space travel, therefore enabling us more "time" to live here while we perfect new energy sources before Mother Earth is uninhabitable.I think that there was previous human existence and those people are the ones that are monitoring our progress. In a book I read as a teenager, Rozwell and related info. was acknowledged as to contacts being made and a "Warning"....the warning still has people speculating to this very day.....I recall something about cleaning up our mess first.....anyways, we could go on and on, my point is that we need to get off of foscil fuels in it's present form. Hydrogen makes sense and energy produced is our best alternative for today. Kudos to Chrysler for the Turbine car!!!! where did it go as forward thinking and why was it squashed?!!!
Like it or not, we are our own worse enemy. People will continue to guffaw at speculators like me and even as I've seen with my own eyes at the vast Uranium deposits in Northern Saskatchewan, near Athabaska Lake bordering the Norht West Teritories, the Geo Scientists that I talked with while up removing heavy equipment from the banished Cluff Lake mine, there are hundreds of years of Uranium not ten miles south of Cluff. Sadly the oil sands are also previlant in the same regions and are also far reaching. Oil is easier to access. We are a lazy bunch. Our Governments want their cake and eat it too. The next time I hear someone say, it won't matter in a hundred years from now, I'm gonna smack him upside the head. :whack:
This is great news for all! Thankyou for this post! Time for change is coming for renewable and hopefully Green Energy!! :th:

Speaking of Mother Earth one aspect of this LENR stuff is that it can transmutate radio active material (like spent fuel rods from nuclear reactors) to a non radio active material. How you ask? I don't know :D But any way I guess the Navy received a patent in 2013 for the process. According to the Navy while they use LENR to transmutate the spent radio active fuel rods it will make enough steam to turn the turbines and keep the plant running!

This U.S. Navy patent transmutes radioactive elements into less harmful elements through a benign “cold fusion” low energy nuclear reaction process. The patent was granted April 16, 2013 for a device and method that shortens the half-life of radioactive materials by increasing their rate of emissions. The process creates high pressure steam for the turbines eliminating the need for refueling of existing nuclear reactor cores.

Somebody better hurry the f--k up and put Rossi in Protective custody!!....as for the greenhouse gas emitting into the atmosphere, we better hurry up and refreeze that northern landscape! :(
