Just another day in San Diego traffic

Postby Lord_Varon » Wed Sep 11, 2013 11:03 pm

Ya know, as I have wandered around San Diego for the past few months, I have seen ALL kinds of cars... I am talking just about everything.... Aston Martin DB9, Studebaker Hawk (at the same light by the way) Nash Metropolitan, Jags and Porsches out the wazooo, Bentleys, Rolls, a dozen Tesla 'S's, three or four Lambo's, a Delorean, and a day or so ago.... this one pictured below..... but in all this time.. NOT A SINGLE FREAKING H-BODY!!!!! Hell...I ave even seen a couple PINTOS!!! :? What does a guy have to do???? :bang: :censored: :cuss:

Just wanted to vent some.... needing a real live H-body fix.....

Saw a Lotus, and a Lambo here in the last few days. Of course, like you no h bodies whatsoever. Kinda cool, makes mine turn more heads I suppose...

I've been told of a sighting of one in a driveway, but no exact directions, just an area.. so last time I had a driving lesson to give in that area, I was secretly looking for it, but no-luck.

Patience Danielsan. There's a really serious and stunning pro-street (or maybe drag only) red 74-ish hatchback that makes the rounds... tomorrow's the Antique drags at Borona I'm sure there'll be a few out there. There's also an unmolested 71-73 NOTCHBACK (!) that lives a couple houses down from the SDPD Museum on College Ave near El Cajon Blvd just begging for a little V8 lovin.

And if you see my dad's old Dark Green GT wagon (327/350 4-speed) hands off! I claim it lol. My last sighting of it was about 1992 or so. Mom made him sell a CREAM PUFF 57 Bel Air 2dr Hardtop and buy the Vega because she didn't trust it to get her to the hospital when I decided to get myself born. Saw Star Wars in the back seat of that car at the Campus Drive in back when...

I feel for you, in 6 years of Vega driving, I have never spotted another on the road in the San Diego area. Mine was out and about all last week but I am a bit north of San Diego.

Thanks for the support and giving me hope guys... I still haven't made it up to Escondido, even though I live just off the 163 in Linda Vista... So no chance of seeing your car Groscup unfortunately...
Did see a Ferrari and a Maserati though....

There aren't many H-bodies out in the wild at all anymore. Mine is the only one I have ever seen in the MD DC VA area that is driven on the street. There are race cars but no street cars.

So I'm not the only one who gets more excited seeing a $5000 oddball car from the '70s than I do seeing a supercar that's worth more than my house? Good to know!

You know if I had an extra $ 10,000. I'd get in my car and. AWW hell who am I kidding. I'd go and buy another one or two H-bodies. But, I feel for ya man. The only ones I've seen on the road around here is mine.
