I've never owned one, but I was just wondering if what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas?

No way.... when you're riding around in a Vega, EVERYBODY watches you!

Cute illustration on that:
A few years ago, a former gal-pal and I were riding in my multi-colored '72 through the Smokey Mountains.... duct-taped in windshield(front and rear), no interior(other than seats), 215 V8, 5-speed, etc. 200 lbs of dogs in the back.
While creeping along in 1st gear in bumper-to-bumper traffic in a tourist attraction town, she started laughing out loud. I asked what's so funny?
She said... and I quote:
"I really thought I was looking real hot today, as everyone we passed was really breaking their necks looking at me. I just saw these two guys over there on the sidewalk (pointing at them), and that guy in the (whatever colored) shirt just elbowed his buddy and I saw his mouth saying...... Look! A F__King VEGA!!!!"

She just laughed about that for months..........

It looks like big jake has an idea about that tire, he might be thinking " that tire would make a great chew toy!"

Big Jake was a great dog.... he didn't chew anything in or on the Vegas. Here's a couple shots of Big Jake and Andy lovin' the rides in the '73 up in the Mountains. They loved going for rides with the back seat laid down.... hanging their heads out the windows. Dogs heads, don't stay in Vegas.........

Can't say "What happens in Jeeps, stays in Jeeps." He once saw his reflection in a large store front window pane. Hopped right out of the Jeep (top down) at about 20 mph. He only did that twice before learning to stay in the Jeep.

Sadly, I can't recall any "Las Vegas" type of happenings in any of my Vegas. Other than gambling on making it back. Wait... there's one... sort of.
ATF won't stay in Vegas (at least mine).
After the BW T-50 5-speed swap, years ago, I noticed I was losing a lot of oil.... some oil spattering on the rear tail light panel, bumper and valance. Then there was some smoking out the back while going up hill. I found some ATF fluid puddlin' under the car and all along the trans while sitting on a slope. Hmmmmm rear seal on the trans output shaft must be shot. Went and got a replacement at O-Reilly's. Tapped it right in and figured all was well. Topped off the trans with ATF and off I went. Still no fix. After a few weeks, I noticed it would pop out of 5th only if I was driving on the interstate. Hmmmm...... probably getting hot. Must be low on fluid. I jacked it up on stands to crawl under and refill the trans when I notice the back-up switch was GONE! Fluid would leak down to just enough to get by but highway speeds heated it up and popped it out of 5th on interstate. Swapped one in from an old parts T50 and it's been 6 or 7 years of no issues.

Hmmm, my first car was a Vega, funny enough exactly the color of bugdewde' s was but not a gt. I was 16 and a junior in high school so needless to say that fold down seat came in handy. I used to keep a blanket rolled up in that empty spot the below that flap when the rear seat is folded down.
