And that was one of the plusses of hot rodding one of these cars in the 80s and 90's.. I drove quite a few H bodies insured as 4cyl, and 6cyl. That may or may not have had V8's in them.
I'm not sure the insurance company will even notice or care about the engine, unless your trying to get full collision coverage. At this point I'm thinking any insurance company is preparing to give you no more than 1,000 for your car, should it become a total loss.
