Doug Thanx for that trip down memory lane! My first car (that made it on the road) was a '71 Ventura (4 door :( ) I also owned a '77 V8 2 door Ventura (when I was more mature  like 22/23 yrs. old), younger brother had a '71 Nova at the same time as my '71 Ventura experience then the youngest brother bought a '72 Ventura, years later (between Camaro's) acquired a "73 Nova Hatch this one was 307 powered V8 and the last one was the youngest again had a '79 Phoenix, V6 car that later had a boost in "Cubes" to 400 SBC, and that car had 2:56 gears, would fry the tires, Oopps, tire and crack the century and a half mark, it is a wonder, and an act of GOD that we are even alive! We also "financed" a '74 GTO for a friend so a couple of those links really take me back I really, really miss those cars, Man could they take a beating, everyone of them! Love the trip back through history, Thanx Again Harry

Don't forget about the Ventura section of the Performance Years Site

http://forums.performanceyears.com/foru ... .php?f=438

Lots of helpful Pontinuts on that site

Thanks for the new link Jeff, your the man in PONTIACS. :th:

Harry, my only memory of Venturas is a sad one now. Guy I worked with in Syracuse, a friend of the family who's real name is "Ventura" had a 73 dark green Ventura that he drove in the 80's. Everyone knew him by his car.

Sadly ,he has cancer of the pancreas and is on chemo right now. :(

So Sorry to hear that Doug! :( Do your best to remember the good times and (hopefully) how much he LOVED that car, and the good times you associate with the car. Hope and Desire are your, and his best friend right now, much stronger than pharmaceuticals alone We eagerly await a positive update and are all pulling for you and your friend. Thanx and Best Wishes with our prayers Harry
