mine wont be staying in the boxes, i bought them to build them. im working on the monza ss right now lol! changed out the motor to a 427 tripower vette motor with 4 speed, painted the motor up to look like it has aluminum heads, intake and waterpump for weight loss. heres a couple pics body painted white red interrior and tried to paint up the dash but my old eyes dont work the best and the hand is a bit shaky lol. edit, added a pic of the motor and compartment,(white specks must be a bit of dust ) kinda funny how i had to modify the heater box and make room in the tunnell, even in 1/25th scale ya gotta make room for a big block lol!

Monza Harry wrote:Alan you could buy one they are usually cheap enough, didn't we see one at the swap meet this year for around ten bucks? With a little spot putty and your computer you could create one like yours. That would be a Project Journal worthy entry all on it's own! The techniques needed would be transferable to personalization touches on our full size cars. Harry P.S. Build that kit that way the kids will get a buck for it, or better yet add it to a diorama in the hatch of your car. D :censored: m now I have to build one! :bang: Harry

EDIT; Fred nice! Where did you get the second gen dash? Which kit, I want one as that will be a whack of work to copy/make that dash from scratch?

dash is the right one for the kit, theres a couple of them on ebay right now (monza ss) its actually a fairly detailed kit compared to some! kit will build stock body too as the imsa panels are glue on not part of the body on this kit oops just remembered you would need a stock nose from another kit as this one is imsa only

Thanx Fred I'm going to have to wait for one of those as again, the real car isn't finished yet. I have to stay focused, and where am I? Harry

I bought mine with the intention of building it, it just seems that trying to keep up with three cars leaves me with no time. :(

Ooh, I have two models.

One was built a long time ago and is showing it's age.

The other, I found in the local classifieds and it's not assembled.
