I bought an old Toyota 4X4 for my son. He couldn't use it so I put it on the road, although I already have too many vehicles. It's been great....it's like an old pair of boots you leave at the door. It's has 340,000 miles on it, but looks pretty good, and runs great. I spent too much getting it into shape and have almost 3 grand it it. The trans started making a racket in 3rd and 5th gear, and rather than fixing it, I tried to sell it. I put 2350 obo, on the ad and explained the trans issues. I had one response in Spanish, one that simply returned the ad with a 1-800 number attached, a couple of $1500.00-$1800.00 "take it or leave it" offers, and a "I very interest in truck and send cashers chek for $2500 for you trouble". I do not negotiate over the phone, or computer. I've done that before, only to have the guy low ball me when he shows up. Come take a look THEN, insult me. It's been a great parts chaser/landfill/snowmobile/lawn work type vehicle, and easier to maneuver than my Dodge 2500, and I don't worry about parking lot dings. If it doesn't sell today I'll pull the trans on Monday and have it rebuilt. Fun times.................
