Big Brother Again

Postby monzabug350 » Tue Apr 21, 2015 11:08 am

Surfing the web I came across a web sight named Infowars.com that a lot of doom n gloom articles and in one section titled Big Brother, there was a story about the gubmnt and an association of 12 auto manfactuers who want BB to ban anyone other than dealerships from working on their cars.Mostly its about getting into the PCM and modifying or copywrighting (?) the software. And reading further I found that this is just the tip of the plan. Long story short, the end game will be to do away with all cars and put every one in electric, self driving cars. Yeah, that includes H-bodies and any "old car",you name it. It reminded me of the 70s and the smog laws and how the speed equipment world came up with parts and pieces to make cars meet and beat the laws and run better than OEM. Then came EFI and PCM's and then the big3 bitched about gearheads being able to get into their systems to be able to find/fix their cars without going to the dealer. That got shot down due to SEMA going to court to get the big 3 to allow us to get into the systems "but only so far" That brought about the aftermarket again coming up with scan tools that allowed us to find out just what that check engine light was about and fix it. Yeah,by now you can see it's all about PROFIT!! SSSOOO,if this all comes to pass,in a few years you will not only not be able to work on your car, it will be taken away by law! Just scroll down to the comment section and see what I mean by that. I'm sure SEMA is aware of this and is looking into it,but I'm sure going to post on their web site and put my 2cents in.(Oh,wait, with the economy the way it is make that 20 cents) Check it out and see what you think about it.LONG LIVE THE H-BODY!!!!
