Trouble Lights

Postby zeke » Sat Nov 21, 2015 2:07 pm

Local dollar store had these Luminus LED lamps on for 3$, one of the few things worth buying there. lol
After working with them for a couple weeks, I decided to measure the current draw and was surprised.
Battery powered LED work lights are OK for some jobs but I sure missed my corded trouble lights!

I switched over to florescent bulbs in my garage work light a long time ago. It sure is nice to have them last for literally years instead of hours(or minutes, lol) that the old incandescents did. Even the "rough service" ones didn't last. I think I will try out the LED bulbs for this same application. I have them in some of the fixtures in my house, and I like the color of the light they produce.
