That is a great write-up, however you would think with the great racing Heritage that it enjoyed in many forms of auto racing that it would have been better remembered and recognized than it is. You would have also thought that it would have had more sreet versions and popularity too

Thanks for posting that, I notice they said there was one Astre built, I wonder if there are any pictures of it.

I looked and didn't see anything other than what looked like Monza's.

I see that the #21/#2 car has a four round headlight front on it that seemed odd as that was a very early preproduction front end (like late '73 super early '74) Oops '71 in this pic. http://monza.homestead.com/concept.html (4th Picture down) But I have found pic's of a few race Monza's with the round headlight conversion, looking for links for this post. And Fred I don't consider this "Off-Topic" at all, these cars are why many of us are here at all, they certainly added to my Love of the Monza! Harry

I put it here just for you harry!, it was posted over on facebook . check the vid I posted in the auto cross and road racing section here, its a Monza running in the touring car masters series in adelade austrailia showing how well these little cars can kick butt!
