Black Coupe Re-in "Car" nation lol

Postby Sunula66 » Fri Mar 25, 2016 12:34 pm

So, while I'm writing this lil thread, beakerztoyz and a Car Buddy are in my driveway dismantling the Black Coupe, my parts beast...they got here an hour ago and it's snowing very lightly...they have already taken off: tailamp assemblies, rear windshield, all 3 spoiler components, the brake and clutch pedal assemblies transmission and shifter stuff, some interior and console... :th: I think they're aiming at the V8 mounts next and maybe the heavy duty sway bars...this was a 305 4spd car with Formula stuff from '78... I'm happy to see good use come of these parts...even a bit of wintery weather can't even deter the mighty quest for the illusive H-Body....  nice work boyz! ...wonder when they're gonna realize they have a 9 hour drive home! ...
PS, when you see this thread TJ, thanx and good luck with your build, and nice meeting another H-Buddy!! :th:

Thank's man, I was really impressed with how much we got off of that car in like 4 hours it really just seemed to fall apart, it was great to meet you and to be able to see your other car's and to be able to see and take apart another coupe. We woulda had more time we probably woulda grabbed the sway bars, I already have front and back ones for both cars here though so that's why we kind of ignored them. the whole trip made me think now I know how those guys who restore old corvettes or other rare cars feel, having to drive like 7 hours each way just to spend a few hours getting that one or 2 parts they want to make thier car nicer or more original. H-bodies now just have to help me out and become worth more money because due to this trip my friend Scooter is probably gonna force me to repaint the car so that spoiler will look good.... and change the dash...... and decide which car gets a 4 speed which means I might have to paint 2 cars and thats a bunch of work and I'm not even sure I like cars half the time. Thanks again for giving me a great deal on the parts, I'm glad to have them and glad I could save them from getting crushed. good luck with your move and with things out east!
