Music for the Road

Postby Monza Harry » Tue Apr 12, 2016 6:14 pm

Well at times with my job, I have some extra time, (NO money then, but extra time) So since I have purchased a 10 disc remote CD change for the Monza and I want to do some "Road Trips" And will need tunes this is On Topic/Off Topic This changer will support MP3 files so I need/want to condense my music collection to 10 discs. Now goals stated here is the problem I have a USB turntable for my "Vinyl" and CD's out the :censored: I will need a program to facilitate this I am sure. I haven't done much recording even though that was the no.1 reason for buying a computer 17 years ago. So do we [collectively] have any experience with the "gaggle" of programs available? Preferably with conversion to MP3 and cleaning up some of my older vinyl recordings etc. Thank You for any discussion we can have on this. Harry P.S. I use Computers for recording all the time... Best free recording software is "Audacity" Plenty of youtube tutorials. it's awesome for multi-tracking, but you can use it simply to record the USB Record Player, and convert that recording to an MP3.

Thanx Guys, there is some interesting reading there. I will try one of those after a little reading, I am not at all adverse to buying a program, many free ones are temporary programs and/or don't offer the full program. Harry

Audacity is freeware. and pretty common. I want to take apart one of my delco radios and install an Aux input jack.
