I drove one last year, great driving car, but it is so complicated! after we swapped drivers one of the rear door handles would not retract, the owner had to take it to the dealer. They fixed it under warranty, but it seemed to be over engineered to me. Also I am wondering how the company will do when the federal subsidies run out?

Yep thats what I was thinking, drives pretty awesome, but way too much to go wrong with these cars..

the one I drove has summon which backs itself out of tight parking spaces on its own, and auto pilot which steers itself ..I did notice the door requires a servo to release the door handle..

Interesting stuff they crammed into this car though.

I drove one and rode in one. Amazing technology in those cars. The thing was a rocket. I too am in the too many things to go wrong department. All that tech bouncing down the road and the only place that can work on it is the Tesla dealer.....
