1971 Wiring Harness help

Postby 1971GTRESTO » Fri Apr 13, 2018 6:00 pm

Hello all,

I am new to the forum, just picked up a 1971 Vega GT shell basically but rust free and fresh paint thanks to my brother. I am in need of a wiring harness or any ideas anyone has at aftermarket options. I thought about buying a donor vehicle and swapping the wiring (I need lots of other parts also like a gas tank) but not having any luck finding a 71. My plan is to put a small block chevy with auto trans.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Thank you,

I don't believe anyone sells an aftermarket updated harness for a Vega, but other than the cluster wiring, one for a similar year Camaro would be very close.

Here are the original 1971 Vega diagrams, and Spencer is right - a Camaro one is about the closest you will find though there are generic 21 or 28 system harnesses available from the sites below.
