Who has used a Painless Performance harness in their car?

Postby ColinOpseth » Wed Dec 20, 2006 9:39 pm

I have a couple of questions.

1) My LT1 positive cable has a lead that goes directly to the alternator. Can I use this lead instead of the stock Vega alternator harness?

2) Do I need a wire from the fuse panel that kicks the starter over? I think it's a yellow wire on the stock harness. My Painless book doesn't state what to do here. On the LT1 cars they have a purple wire (VATS) and the positive battery cable. That's it.

3) Should I run a negative battery cable to a grounded junction block on the body with leads from the negative battery post and an engine ground?

Thanks,
Colin
