turn signals

Postby geartwister39 » Mon Jan 01, 2007 9:48 pm

hi all. happy new year i hope all is well with everyone. my question is my turn signal on the right side is not working. the left is fine. i checked all the bulbs .they seem fine what i got is the signal marker on the dash (right side) stays on when i turn my lights on . i found that it stays lit until i used the hazard lights then the only one not to light is the front right turn signal . i put in a new bulb but it didnt change anything. the brake lights and running lights work fine. just no right turn signal. im thinking bad ground. any input ? thanks

Sounds like a ground problem on the right front light. I'd check the socket out first. It's not the flasher because it would be both side not just one. Rick

The ground should be in the corner

Postby vega_man_larry » Wed Jan 03, 2007 1:49 pm

I have had a ground wire chaff causing it to break internally. The ground should be near the light, check it for breaks and clean the end and where it attaches to the unibody. Also clean the spot on the unibody where it connects to. Once you get it to work apply a bit of grease to the connection so it won't corrode again. I'vealso had the horn do the same thing and have had to clean up the ground connection between the horn and the unibody to get it to work.
