Has anyone installed one of the newer electric speedometers??I'm looking at a phantom style but know nothing about them,,I have been told you need a sending unit of sorts,,anyone have first hand on this one???

Most newer transmissions work with these electrical speedometers with the help of a computer, when you have a add on a Power Programer :arrow: you can enter the tire size rear, end ratio, to bring the unit to the correct speed, But they must have some kit with a magnetic inductive pick ups at the output/drive shaft end, so for our cars it would be a simular set up with a magnet and a pick up coil mounted the the end of the tranny tail housing to pick up the rotation of the shaft, and send the signal to the speedometer.
