Heat Protection Wrap

Postby HI WINDING MONZA » Sat Oct 20, 2007 5:07 pm

Is there any type of heat wrap I can get locally ( hardware stores) to protect wires and cables from exhaust heat? Or do I have to get the stuff Summit or Jegs sells ? Doug in AZ 8)

Yes there is.

You can go into lowes or menards and get some electrical conduit.

Its not split down the side so youd have to fish the wires through it but it is flexible metal and very rugged...would probably reflect exhaust heat very well and could be cut easily with a hack saw.

The only other option that i can think of would be the aluminum convoluted wrap stuff from jegs.

God bless

I know Autozone just now is stocking some "Themotec" products. I think that's the name, but anyways, they have the header wrap, and starter wrap, and a couple other products. Check it out. Hopefully your local store has it, because mine just got it only last week.
