race car wiring on a budget

Postby vega 350 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 8:27 pm

I want to wire my own car. Does anyone have a basic wiring diagram for a racecar? I want to run a fan, water pump, fuel, start and 2 accessory.I also am thinking of running an alternator. I know i could go buy a painless kit but what would the fun be!!!! :D

I don't have any diagrams, but just use simple switches to activate relays for each item. That way you can run the heavy power through the relay and keep things simple without worries of over stressing the switches and wiring.
