That's listed as going to a "idle stop". I assume that's a solenoid on the carb, possibly for AC cars? Maybe it was used for some other purpose too. I think sometimes they were called a "anti-diesel" too.

i know that term well , and it would be a solenoid mounted to the carb , with a plunger that kicked the throttle arm up to raise the idle speed , in some cases used for a/c to bump the speed up higher

the anti-diesel part is the throttle was usually adjusted so the throttle blade was completely closed , not allowing air into the motor when the key was shut off

My car has a GT dash in it but no GT emblems on the fenders and amber turn signals up front. It had air but it looks like
an aftermarket install and no air control on dash controlls. It does have the air vents in the dash though. Its even got a
radio shack AM-FM -CB radio in it that works. So im not certain if it's a GT or not? Robert.

kinda sounds like some swapped in the dash , if the car had/has air , the box on the firewall is huge for a/c , heater only is small

Yea, its a small fuse box. Who ever did it did a good job all the wireing is done very neatly. The interior is amaculate except I dont
care for the original hounds tooth seats they will be recovered. There's really no other wire issues for me as I dont want air anyway.

Robert, GT's have front and rear sway bars. Mark in Darien, IL
The only Vega's that only had a little rust were the ones still on the assembly line.
