I need a radio

Postby clintjohns » Thu Aug 05, 2010 9:43 pm

My car has the place for a radio, but none installed. Is there something behind the wood grain dash part that supports the radio. , and where would i get a used one, or at worst case a new type.

I think JC Whitney, sells these new, name brand units that are redesigned to fit in the old 2post style slots.

Ebay has alot of the classic original radio's. They dont sound all that hot though.

I bought mine from Custom Auto Sound (http://www.casmfg.com/).

It is model USA-630 which has am/fm and mp3 player. And the nice thing is that it looks like the stock AM radio when off however lights an LCD behind the scale when on.

sweet - you can post a pic of your radio. What color wood should i choose, or is the amount of wood grain that is visible on these radios even worth the concern of trying to match the color on the dash

Don't believe they manufacture the radios with wood grain, however since they are custom made you can ask.

Use the link I provided in earlier post to contact them. You can also see their radios.
