I will admit it takes practice to successfully shrink these connectors with an open flame; the "proper" way is with a heat gun with a curl on the end. I will also admit that I own two heat guns that I almost never use for shrinking crimp connectors.

I solder a Few things using those Meathod's

Tips
Use
>>>>Clamp on Locking Hemeostats Normaly used in the medical Field, ,,,(Stiching wound's with sutures!)
But also used in Electrical Soldering ,,,(radio shack) soldering supplys!

 they work as Heat Shrink's ,,,,to remove heat build up While Tining and soldering,,
Use one for fine work,,, 3 + for those who have a Butane Gas soldering set up
and need the practice!
Just clamp it as close to the insulation as possible!

Some use them to hold "home rolled" custom t-backy,
or other Mixtures with Zig zag papers (later to be a roach),,,

to keep their lips and fingers from Burn's

Or reaching for a Scorpion that needs removal!
