The fuel pump gets its' power through a oil pressure switch. It has 3 wires on it, purple, blue and pink. Make sure the connector is attached to the sender. If that doesn't do it let us know and we can go from there. It look like this

I believe you only have power to the purple wire while it is cranking. The idea is that the purple wire will provide power for start up (cranking) and once the engine is started if you have sufficient oil pressure then the oil pressure sender will provide power the rest of the time the engine is running. This prevents the fuel pump from running if the oil pressure is too low or if the engine stalls like during an accident. You can try to jump the blue and pink wires with the connector disconnected from the sender and see if you get any power to the pump with the ignition on. Did you check for 12 volts on both sides of the fuel pump fuse?

The fuel pump fuse is fed directly from the ignition switch 12 or 14 ga. pink wire; reach up on top of the steering column and check if the 2 plugs are snappped in all the way into the ignition switch.
