i have a 1971 vega i just put a 1988 throttle body injection in the car i used the painless harness part #60101 and it was fairly easy to install the problem i'm having is i used a mini starter and it only has 2 terminals on it and i need to hook up the wire that goes from the starter to the coil it would normaly go on the r terinal so what i was wondering if someone could tell me if there is another place i can hook this wire up to so i can get 12 volts to the coil when i go to start it or is that the only place that will work to always give me 12 volts and trying to find a starter with 3 termails iss not the easiest thing to find.

Is there a spare acc terminal on your fuse box you can use?

The 3rd wire is only for use with points-triggered ignitions; you no longer need it. You will however have to run a true ignition 12v+ wire for the Painless harness; the original resistance wire in the harness is no good. You can follow it back to the bulkhead connector where it comes from through the firewall and replace it with a 14ga. wire or run a new wire in through a grommet and hook it to the 12ga. pink on the ignition switch.
You can't use the "acc" terminal on the fuse box; it is not on during crank. If you're not using the original oil pressure actuated fuel pump switch, you can use the pink on it instead.

Usually brown, and as I remember not necessarily bundled with the harness but run in through the firewall separately and possibly plugged onto the spade connector on the back of the gauge. Sometimes found under the hood plugged in series with a "tach filter"(capacitor).

Thats how I remember the wiring to the tach, and if I remember corectly it is 14ga wire, a little heavier wire that one would think necessary.
