Many current replacement senders are not accurate with older vintage gauges, they do not have the correct resistance value. This even applies to the GM/ACDelco replacements. I can get you a accurate sender for the stock gauge. However, the TS51 is a dual terminal sender and the correct original one for a 71 Vega has a single button type terminal. Has someone changed the wiring at some point? cjbiagi@yahoo.com

Even the 1971 wiring diagram shows two wires going to the sender, when I uplug it I can hear the TCS on the firewall clicking, when I did a test with the one wire sender it does move the gauge but is showing about double the temp,is there something I am missing with the TCS?
