Postby mrblue » Tue Oct 21, 2014 4:24 pm

I have a 1977 chevy monza that has been tubbed and have extra wires that are unused.they are on the drivers side orange, brown w/plug,green w/plug,blackw white stripe and green. On the passenger side near the heater box isgreen and green w white stripe with big pround end plus a flat plug end with green w white stripe and black w eyelet on it. The wiper motor has yellow wire cut that goes to red which goes to toggle switch. What is the best way to remove thes extra wires that are unused? Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks Dan

Zeke- I complained to the poster that the pics were too small and he emailed me full size ones. We've got some of them figured out, but I only have non-a/c diagrams.

I have the GM wiring diagrams for the whole '76 Chevy line up, and I just checked, and it does have an H-Body A/C section. Now for the problem. How the #e!! would I post that? It is 5 or 6 sections long ( a good at least 24" or 30" long) and this wouldn't be a good candidate for shrinking or a multi post conveyance. I could do just the A/C section, and what about those that "Senior Savage" posted a while back? Let me know and I will try and get it up here for you. This may require patients and much help! Yes both kinds of help. Harry viewtopic.php?f=44&t=37343&hilit=Wiring+diagrams+PDF

You may need them in the future so don't remove them at all. Tape up any exposed conductors and tuck them back into the harness.

All those wires are extra and no longer in use.I guess come spring I'll be able to take a look into removing them.Considering the battery Is in the back I might leave 1 that's has 12 volts to it so I can hook up my timing light.Might have to look for a wiper switch though if mine is bad.
