Location of fuel pump BLUE wire, in the inerior?

Postby mikeceli » Wed May 13, 2015 10:33 am

RE 1975 Cosworth Vega, where can I find the fuel pump 12V supply wire, inside the car under the dash or engine compartment? I want to supply 12V to the pump for a carburetor conversion.

I do not want to string a new wire back to the tank area. Thanks.

ADDED.

I found a connector w/ one blue and one black wire, where the ECU used to be. I believe it was for the fuel pump. Yet, when i energize the blue, the pump does not run. (The pump does run, when i energize the blue, at the tank connector).

I can't remember where I tapped power for mine. I might not have needed too.

First though... shouldn't a Cosworth already have a live blue 12v at the rear? I thought the cosworth's were in-tank pump's. ?

The blue wire supplied 12V at the pump, via the ECU and it's internal relay. ECU was removed when PO converted to carb. HE used a pump, added to the engine compartment, powered by a toggle switch.
