Radio Wires

Postby monzacoupe » Fri May 22, 2015 10:03 pm

Hi, I'm looking for a refresher on which wires are which on the factory radio/cassette. Black, grey and yellow are no sweat, found the matches for those. What do the dark blue, light blue, green and black one go to? I'm assuming that they're speaker wires, just wanted to confirm.

Thanks, Rick

Thanks Spenser! Now how do I connect two rear speakers to the one blue wire? Both speaker wires attached to the + and - at the radio, or in series like I've seen on the net? There is a connector that was wired for a CD player still attached to some wires under the dash. It's a real dog's breakfast under there but I can trace the wires if I must.

If you're using the OEM 10 ohm speakers, parallel is fine. It you're using aftermarket 4 ohm ones, I would suggest series.
