Temp/Volt gauge

Any reason, other than a loose connection, why my temp/volt gauges are not working? I'm trying to avoid taking off my dashboard(again) to have a look, is there a fuse that controls both of these or is it the main plug at the back of the dash that is loose.

They are powered by the same fuse as the tach and gas gauge; if the latter two are still working, then it could be a broken trace in the printed circuit behind the cluster. If it was only the temp, it could be the sender wire, but the volt gauge only has two wires, ign+ and ground.

Ok. I'll be pulling the dash out(again!), if I find a broken trace in the circuit is it an easy fix? Like soldering a jumper wire? or more difficult?

If you can't solder in a jumper, you might be able to splice a wire directly from the harness to the back of the gauges.

Sounds like a fun week-end project!
