76 Vega tachometer

Postby Thomas Hamilton » Mon Oct 23, 2017 8:12 pm

Anyone know if there is a switch on a stock Vega tach which allows you to set tach to read either 4 or 8 cylinder? When ,I got the car it had a cobbed up ,8 cylinder. Now that I have put in a 4 cylinder the tach reads way too high. Might someone have changed to tach to read 8 cylinder rpm?

There is no switch on a Vega tach like there is on a Monza. if someone had modified it for 8-cyl operation, it would read low with the 4 back in there, not high.
