Mystery Reset Button

Postby 74_Vega_GT » Mon Jun 04, 2018 9:07 pm

I came across a small formerly silver metallic box with a depressable black rubber reset type button on it. I remembered seeing it when we took out the 74 with AC engine bay wiring harness and an orange relay type receptor was present. Can someone tell me which relay this is for the Vega? Thanks in advance.

I'm new to H bodies so I may be wrong, but in 1974, all cars had a seat belt interlock system. The car wouldn't start without the seat belt fastened. That's probably the emergency bypass switch that you pushed when there was a fault in the system and the car wouldn't start.
