How do I disconnect the ignition buzzer?

Postby Wheezercowboy » Mon Aug 02, 2021 9:31 am

Damn key buzzer won’t go off. I assume my key/cylinder is worn but I’d rather just stop the buzzer and drive.

The key buzzer has 2 yellow wires going to it. There are explicit instructions in the Fisher Body Manual or in the Service Manual for disabling that unit, however I do not have them in front of me at this moment. I think you can simply cut one of the yellow wires going to the buzzer, but I am not exactly sure. Hope this helps.

Geezopeets, unplugged the little white box, unplugged the little box with the speaker holes (assume one was the temp warning buzzer and seat belt buzzer?), unplugged the turn signal switch, unplugged the plug with the fuel pump wire, and the key buzzer stiill won’t turn off when the key is in the run position. :bang:
