Ok I have a few options:
1. Quaker City, OH - if it's sold as a track that stays open

2. Pittsburgh Raceway Park, New Alexandria PA - I'm waiting for a reply from them www.pittsburghracewaypark.com

3. The biggest friday night cruise around (Wexford Starlight) followed on saturday with racing at the hot rod circus in Zelienople PA. Sounds cheesy maybe but on friday they block off a section at the cruise for a special make or model every friday it's different. We could have an h-body night. The racing is heads up at an old airport. check them out here www.starlitecarcruise.com and www.alteredgas.com

4. Beaver Springs Raceway, Lock Haven area PA www.beaversprings.com

5. Lancaster Raceway Park, Buffalo NY www.lancasterracing.com

6. Cayuga Raceway, Cayuga ON, CA - Close enough for you Bryan?

7. Beaverrun raceway in Beaver Falls PA www.beaverun.com

All are options have racing and a show area. The first two weeks in June work well for most everybody. All I need is some imput or some other options.

Thanks,

Bill

Hey Bill
I was shootin' my mouth off about dates, obviously if the 16th is best for location and most people, then run with it... but on that note, Cayuga would rock, hell, Shannonville would be even better, hehe!!!
Basically, whereever it is, I'll be there I don't have a preference of track location per say, as long as they have a good meeting area, etc.

Quaker City - June 2007

Postby BillB1210 » Wed Feb 28, 2007 8:57 pm

Bill,

Any word on the status of Quaker City and the possibility of a meet there? Last report was the end of February for status on the sale of the Dragway and it's future.

Thanks,

Bill

Quaker is gone and I'm not having any luck any where else. It may not happen this year.

If no other options pan out, every one is welcome to join us in Michigan at Milan Drag way. My local Pontiac Club already has the following dates booked at the track.

April 21, 2007
May 19, 2007
June 2, 2007
July 7, 2007
Sept 15, 2007
Oct. 13, 2007 (Invitational)
Oct. 27, 2007 Final Drag series date

If interested we would gladly welcome the H-bodies to our usual crowd of Pontiac's, Olds, Buick, & AMC racers. We rent the track Saterday mornings 8:00 am to Noon. There is plenty of parking for a show car field, and who ever is interested could stay after our time and run the tracks regular Saterday event.

Just let me know if there is any interest, and I can see what else I can set up.

Good luck, Bill, where ever it is.

Pittsburgh area would be fine with me. Possibly NY, although I don't like the idea of letting the car sit outside on an open trailer overnight.

What happened to the BeaveRun idea? Can't make dates work?

I've had a few inquiries about the spring meet. This year is not going to happen due to a lot of factors. I had a lot of fun in the past and loved meeting everyone. Maybe next year there will be a meet. Thanks,
