One More Time...Ohio, PA Spring/Summer Show

Postby bill1978v8 » Thu Aug 30, 2007 12:52 pm

Well it's been a while since I had some time to think about this but now should be a good time to plan for the show for next year. A lot of guys offered up suggestions but we need to come to an agreement. I would be ok with just a get together at a park or fair grounds. A race track would be nice but not necesary. So let me here your suggestions again. I want to do this in June around the 15th. My idea is to have a meet in the Zelienople PA area at the Flashlight drags. This is at an Airport with food vendors and a car show area. The racing is 1/8th mile for street cars only. www.alteredgas.com There are plenty of hotels in the area and it's not far from Beaverrun motorsports park if you wanted to go there to run your car.

Let me know what you think!

Remind us from time to time. I have a tendency to forget about things and then it gets too late to plan for it. Hopefully I'll have a car done by then.

Kevin,

That would be great if he can help take care of us. For those that want to stay on friday, we can go to the cruise in Wexford at the starlite cruise. www.starlitecarcruise.com

I'll have to check with him,but most of the time he does not allow trailers,so you have to drive the car in with mufflers.

Bill
It would be nice to have an annual event in that neck of the woods, the OH one was quite well attended.

What about just going back to Salem and Quaker City now that they are back up and running? Makes no difference to me but this option may exclude many of the drag cars etc that want to race officially when they are there.

700 plus miles from Atlanta.

How about something near Knoxville TN or Roanoke VA or Charlotte NC or Atlanta, GA?

I was told they opened up for a while then closed back down. That would be my first choice but I'm not sure about how stable they are right now. The flashlight drags would be good for the street cars but the race cars would be excluded. Was there a lot of them there at Quaker? I seem to remember a few. I really don't want to exclude anyone.

I can do Z-town. Keep us up to date. Hope it works this time....my car has not even been started this year, let alone out of the garage.

4 hours, 240 miles from me per Mapquest.

(I may even bring a new wife with me.....)

Ha ha ha.....that's why I haven't been on here alot lately.......

But I'll be back! This is a good one...she will sit at car shows with me. And she even liked my "Ten Reasons Cars Are Better Than Women" posting of awhile back. :hump:

Actually we probably won't be married yet if Bill schedules the show in June....we're shooting for August in Colorado.
