East Tennessee - Pigeon Forge Fall Grand Rod Run Sept. 11-14

This is the annual fall event, the sister event of the spring event. There are thousands of Muscle Cars, Street Rods, Hot Rods, Pro Street, Rat Rods and all sorts of vehicles in attendance in this open event. They line up on both sides of the 6 lane strip through the middle of Pigeon Forge. The street is lined with spectators in lawn chairs for the whole weekend.

I'm hoping to make it up to the event for at least one day. Fighting the bumper-to-bumper traffic is the largest drawback for me. It's only about an hour away but it takes about 2 hours to make the last 5 miles if you don't get there early.

The Strip down Pigeon Forge is filled with restaurants, go-cart tracks, arcades, mini-golf, waterslides, souviener shops, live-show theaters, and the world famous Dollywood amusement park in case you want a distraction from all the cars lined along the streets for miles.

Any local H-bodies making the event? Would be neat to gather together.
