Re: MONZAQUE - 4th Annual - Sat, Aug 1st - Brighton, ON

Hey Brian, I just booked in at the Brighton Hotel and wanted to let everyone know that there is only a couple of rooms left there. It seems that according to the lady I spoke to, this is a busy weekend for this area and she thinks that it is due to a "fishing " thing going on. I explained that there was a couple of car events as well but she knew nothing about that' Anyway, maybe we should bring fishn' poles too, "Monzaque n fish fry 2" what the hell, I would be interested in a car cruise though. I think Bill had mentioned a Brockville event Sun. and wasn't there something going on in Brighton Sat.? Anywho, if we are allowed, perhaps we could show off our H-body line up and blow everybodies minds! Could you imagine, a whole bunch of confusion from the chevy-pinto crowd.....all in one nice neat little row!!!!!!   :shenanigans: :thumb: :railroad:

Hi Bryan, we'll be there, but in the truck. Getting ready to move to Cobourg and have stuff to take into storage. Are you interested in any of the Monza parts and stuff that are in my garage. Rather give them to a good home then toss them. :D

Russ, pack it all in the back of the wagon, you have to show up to a "MONZAQUE" wirth a Monza, lol. Well, whatever you arrive in it'll be good to see you again. As for parts, I don't need anything, but if it is between crushing or keeping, then I'll keep. I have the space and maybe can help someone out sometuime. I guess bring whatever you have kicking around you want rid of and I'll find a spot for it in the quonset hut or garage.

Can you feel the peer pressure to bring the Monza Wagon though ??? (just like being a teenager all over again)

As for car shows, etc., there is a small show in Brighton on the 1st but it is an afternoon event, like 1-3 or so. I'm sure there is one on Sat eve in Belleville, hopefully I can get home from Bancroft this Sat to check it out to see if it is worthwhile or not to drive there. If not, then that is it for cruises in the immediate area. Yes, Brockville does have a huge show on the Sunday but it is 1.5 hours from me and I won't be going.

Thanks Bryan, rather have the stuff find a good home then chuck it. I have a whole truck of house stuff to take to storage out Cobourg way so that is another reason I have to use the DORF. But.....next year there is no excuse..I'm a few minutes away in New Amherst Cobourg.

That almost sounds like what I keep saying I have.."sometimers" Bryan, if Russ brings goodies, we could have an auction! lol.. or door prizes, imagine ticket no. goes home with the engine block or rear end stuff  ... hey I do need the sill plate cover that says Fisher on it, but there might be one coming from Saskatchewan maybe??? Well in any event, this sounds like it has potential for a great time. I have a few sheets of "lexan" 3x4 that I would be willing to donate, you know, like sign boards guys do up their stuff on for car shows and lic. plate covers etc. clear and blue tinted, still has the protective sticky on it too! 1 week to go for the 'Que.

Weather outlook ... sunny, no clouds, not a drop of rain (POP - 0%), 28 (86) degrees but humid and could feel like 35 (100) ... uggh! (well, our pool is open and ready to go if it is that hot, lol). Only rain in the forecast for the next week is Wednesday.

A Parts give away or charity auction sounds like a good idea...not much but you never know what someone needs.
