MONZAQUE - TOMORROW

Postby fyrftr50 » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:49 pm

This summer's MonzaQue (Brighton, Ontario, Canada) will be ...

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

As usual, food, water and pop will be provided, but BYOB and tent.

ALL GM H-Bodies are more than welcome, not just Monzas as the name might imply.

Basically anyone can show up anytime after noon and we go well into the evening and night.

Looks like there is a Sat evening cruise night in Belleville (about 20 minutes away) so that could provide evening entertainment.

Accomodations include ... free camping on my property (I have the room) for those interested in saving a buck or 2.
There are a couple small motels in town that are decent and inexpensive as well (less than $100 a night)
Harbourview Marina - http://www.gosport.ca and Presqu'ile Beach Motel - http://www.brightonmotel.com

Let me know whenever you can if you plan on attending so we have enough to eat for everyone.

Thanks to Dave for yet another brilliant flyer !!!.

Bill, since that used to be my car, your expected to stay as long as I say, so it is the night for you mate. Besides you can't have a few pints and bolt. But I do know it is a decent jopurney to Brockville from Brighton. Make sure you send an invite to the guy who bought the silver Monza Coupe in your nexck of the woods (just in case I can't find his email address). Cheers!

Bryan,

We will be there, probably will stay at the Gosport Hotel as last year. We may drive to Watertown Friday night, make the border crossing early and be there a little early. I will check with Mark and Marco to see what they are planning as far as departure times from the US is concerned.

Anyone else (Pennsylvania, New Jersey etc.) that wants to make the trip, contact me and we can hook up at the border crossing at Watertown.

I don't really get the flyer, unless it's supposed to look like a face, then the red "tounge" would make sence.

Bryan,

Looks like the Monza will be ready for the ride, Gosport Hotel is reserved. What can we bring? We will leave early on August 1 for the border crossing due to the Holiday. See you then!

What can you bring? Hmm, well, yourself, your Monza, your wife, your booze and ... pretty much thats about it. I might have to inquire with NMichelle about maybe having you guys bring up a bottle for us since the stuff is soo much cheaper down there. I'll let you know. I assume you can bring up 2 bottles or a 2-4? If you want that Kieth's again, you should stop at the Canadian side duty free shop, if you can and get it there 9or just get it on the way home again.

Bryan,

We can't make it this year but I'm looking into a 200-4R and I have a spare set of wheels and good street rubber so I can drive it next year. I'd love to get some pictures of it by the lake and at NF.
