Lets have an H-body vs. J-body bash!!

A 2 day event with the first day at Lordstown Ohio for an auto-x event and Tour of the plant, the the second day a day of showing and racing at Quaker city....???

Of course on second thought...I like the atmosphere of an H body only event seeing as how I can get my fill of stereo thumping neophytes any day of the week at taco bell.

Ouch. Did I just say that? I better just crawl back in my hole, is it springtime yet???

Don't mind making it a J-Body only bash.... as long as that means, 'somebody bring a J-body car, and the rest bring sledge hammers'.

Apologies to those enamoured with J-Bodies. :P

LOLOL...funny. I'm thinking about bashing them on the track, wouldn't that be fun?

There going to be having their bash in August, so looks like it probably wouldn't happen.

Hoping the make the monzaque in Aug, if its still going on.

This Cana-dude would love to go!  ......still doin' the monzaque too! Marco, spring is sprung, it was 70 F today! all the white @!$#*!^@*&!^!! is pretty well gone!! Checked out the link and I know how to get there. I was in Salem Ohio not that long ago and Summit Racing at their new place so I've been all over the Youngstown area. I'd love to go to this event. I read last years posts and saw what a terrific time everyone had. :th:

I'm looking at Saturday June 12th and Sunday June 13th. The 13th is the track rental by the Hollywood knights like last year. Let me know what you think.

Sure would like to see some new faces this year. I enjoy visiting with the "regulars" too, but I hope the guys from Canada and others can make it this year, as well.

I hope I can make at least one of those days. I'm sure my Monza will be on a trailer if it's there. It wouldn't be impossible to have it driving, but pretty unlikely for me. I have way too many projects around here. Since it was mentioned in this post, maybe I could show up in my H-Body. I have a 1987 Sunbird Turbo Convertible I could bring out. Please leave the sledge hammers at home, I'd kinda like to sell the car. The car is not lowered and no thumper music on the radio. Maybe some blues or rock from the 60's and 70's. I'm an old dude. Immature maybe, but definatly old. I'm actually only 53, but my 92 year old dad gets as much done as I do.

Well that date isn't exactly a good one. I am off work that weekend but we'll be a little busy. We are moving on June 23rd so i figure the last couple/few prior to that will be a complete writeoff. Maybe we can work it out but I highly doubt it.

As for the MonzaQue ChevyArt, it is not a Monza-only show, ALL H-Bodies are more than welcome and highly encouraged (H-BodyQue just doesn't have a pleasant ring to it, lol). We get 'Kermit', Tim's green Vega out every year and Fred with his black Astre has been a regular as well. Maybe I should rename it H-Que???

Marco, you have't missed it the first 2 years, you've missed all 4 years so far, this is the 5th annual.

This meet is not going to happen this year. Maybe we can go to Beaver Springs later in the year but Quaker City 2010 is CANCELLED!
