Lemons-Aid

Postby Pit Boss » Fri Feb 24, 2012 1:20 pm

I am organizing a car show like no other, A Car show without the Ego! Lemons-Aid a car show for everything Lemon benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project in Carlisle Pa in 2014. I am doing a preliminary posting to see if anyone here would be interested in attending such a show. I am the organizer of the Pinto Stampede which made nationwide news last year with our drive from Denver to Carlisle. In September of 2014 I want to take it up a notch with a huge show for us, the different kind of car collector. With music, swap meets, awards, basically a car show like no other with the greatest gathering of unique cars ever put in one place. Vega's, Pinto's, Yugo's, Gremlins, Chevettes, Escorts, Corvairs, Edsels, Horizons, etc. No Camaros, Superbirds or Mustangs, well maybe Mustang II's. So if this interests you, please shoot me an email at pitboss@lemons-aid.com or you can visit our site at www.lemons-aid.com If this doesn't interest you then I thank you for taking the time to read this. This will be a once in a lifetime show, but I need to know if people are interested before we put in the capitol.

Thanks,

Norman "Pit Boss" Bagi

I have to admit this is interesting to say the least. that would be like a party without the populars. spt 2014 is a long way off but I'll have to keep this in mind

Assuming I can get my Spyder running by then I'd sure like to participate.
Then came the churches, then came the schools
Then came the lawyers, then came the rules
Then came the trains and the trucks with their loads
And the dirty old track was the Telegraph Road.

This will happen, I just have to prove some interest to Carlisle events to creat a one time show. The swap meet alone should be worth the trip. And yes a party without the populars. I like that. Two and half year seems like a long way off, but when I planned the first Pinto Stampede I was two years out and it rolled up quick and plans came down to the wire. So any help in getting the word out is appreciated. Just send them to the site or my email and I will add them to the email list. If you guys want to be on the list, just shoot me an email and tell me what you drive.

I missed this one too. I was sent that article almost a year ago viewtopic.php?f=43&t=34403

The article said around 50 Pintos, If there were half that many H's it would be like a new world record

If everybody jumped on this it would be fun.

This wouldn't be any worse than driving to the show in Salem in years past. Of course, only if Monzas count as lemons like the Vega apprently is and only if it does no come on the same date as the MonzaQue.

I've had 11 H-Bodies in one place at 2010's MonzaQue and so far this year should break that.

Here is the reply I got

It doesn't look good, we didn't get much interest. Thanks for writing, if I get one going in the future I will send you an email. Right now I am working on my Pinto Stampede for 2013. Most car clubs I contacted kind of got hung up on the lemons statement. It wasn't a slam on anyone's car, but most took it that way.

Take Care,

I never took any offense. Look he owns and drives a pinto, belongs to a pinto club. Not so much humorous. the picture of the pinto on his website ( a box of matches ) now that's humor
I would guess a car show like that would be loads of fun. not so many seriously stuck up car owners would be there.
