I'm gearing up for an early start...(means I'm procrastinating and grabbing what I need at the last second)

Good luck on your trip!

Beer:

I don't want any hassles crossing the border, so I think I should buy my beer in Canada... where to buy beer in Canada? Special stores?

Yep, the skyway is knackered from your direction to Toronto. Dumbass with a tandem dump accidently put the box up while driving, impaired driving charge.

Beer at the duty free on the way in or at "The Beer Store". That's what they r all called here and you can buy beer at our liquor stores which r called LCBO's.

MonzaQue #9 is in the books. Thanks to all who attended. We all had a great time, great weather (again) saw some awesome cars and talked shop all day/night. Only 6 cars were in attendance but the number of owners was in the double digits this year, with promises of bringing their rides next year, for #10.

Welcome back to Mark, Tim, Ken, Bill, Harry, Marco and Nick and it was great to finally meet 'Que rookies Ken (special shout-out, who drove over 12 hours to come to this years event - that's him standing beside MY Spyder because someone had to get on the roof to take the pic :) ) and Zeke, welcome to the club and to all the rest ... Thanks and Cheers!

The 10th Annual, yes, 10th, is on Saturday, August 1, 2015. mark your calenders!!!

I made a valiant attempt to remember all your names but only a few stuck. I'll just have to come back next summer and do it again. 8)

Thanx for the good time Bryan & Michelle! Next year I'm jumping in that pool and staying at a different motel! lol

Got a nice room tonite overlooking the Rideau River in Ottawa, everything works as it should and we have a balcony! :th:

There are some decent B&Bs in the area, as well as hotels in Trenton.

Yup, the more often you come, the clearer we all become.

The pool was the first thing I did, before you got there. Super refreshing, highly recommended !!!

Expecting a Monza in your future. :)

That's how I do it, and it works! :th: . It also helps if someone has the same name as yourself
I had a great drive there and back and good company and food while I was there. You can't ask for much more than that. (Well, maybe you could ask for less GTA traffic  ).
I'll certainly be there for the 10th, and the 20th if I can talk my boys into wheeling me there  .

... and don't let distance be an excuse. Mark, Marco, and Ken made it. Don't make us resort to name calling.

I'm back. Finally completed a full circle around Lake Ontario in the Spyder.

Holy Hard Drivin' on the 401! You can run with some fast crowds out there!! No fear of Car-impound or nothing ( Multiple signs warn of this if caught at 50kph over the limit).
HOLY BORDER WAIT HELL! I must have pumped the clutch 1,000 times. Between the wait back up on the 403 and the hour+ wait in line. The good news is the Monza handled it in TOP form. Never topped 200* stopped in traffic, and ran at about 185 the whole time . I was more beat from the heat than it was.

Great Great time!, So cool to catch up with everyone who showed up!!!!

As always Bryan and Michele were outstanding host's....and all of Canada had that welcoming atmosphere. I had a great weekend.

89,444 now on my car!

Good to hear your home AOK Marco. Get that GoPro film edited, should make for some good viewing.

Thanks for making the trip again. Expect you back for #10. :P

Cheers!

I need to do it all over again! All the best stuff (bridges) was missed since the memory cards filled up. And from Oswego to Kingston...I had the lens cap on!! Doh.

I'll have to do it again sometime, and time the border back into the usa a little better AND hook the car up with better tunes!

Marco,

Yeah, no joke on the speeds on the 401. Until I caught up with you, I was averaging 150Km/h... then slowed to about 120-130km/h. I got some interesting video of you flying down the highway as well. :th: :th: It was great just to see an H-body on the road, let alone another red Spyder, so I 'had' to take some video. Not only that, but I scanned the local radio stations and found an 'All 80's' station, and I SWEAR I was having a flashback!

I was wondering how you caught up! As I left the diner, I saw you parked there...I thought you'd follow me out but you didn't...so by the time I got on the highway I figured you'd be a bit back behind me. I was trying to take it easy at first. I was surprised though to see you show up in the mirror.

I tried to lock into Q107 as we neared Toronto, because for as long as I can remember Sunday in Toronto is Psychadelic Sunday! They play some great old tunes all day!
