WI CAR SHOW ON 5/10/14 WITH GAS MONKEY GARAGE!!!

Hello Everyone,

I've had a long absence from the forums, but I return with interesting news: if you are in the Midwest and/or within reasonable driving of Madison, Wisconsin you should DEFINITELY come to the 2014 Madison College Pride in Your Ride Car Show on Saturday, May 10, 2014! The show is hosted by the Madison College Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing Program and all proceeds benefit the program's Equipment Fund and Autobody Tool Scholarship Fund. Celebrity guests this year include
Aaron Kaufman of Gas Monkey Garage / TV's Fast N' Loud, Cristy Lee of TV's All Girls Garage, Mitch Lanzini of Lanzini Body Works / TV's Overhaulin' and Leah Gall of Finishline Design. It would be fantastic to see a gathering of h-bodies at the show!! Please help to spread the word! Here are the specifics:

Saturday, May 10, 2014
Madison College Truax Campus
1701 Wright Street, Madison WI 53704
Show Hours: 9am-3pm with Vehicle Registration from 7am-9am


Show Details


Spectators

General admission opens at 9 a.m. to show spectators. Spectators must park and enter the show grounds using appointed spectator parking and entrance areas. Additional show info can be found online.

Adult general admission: $5 donation
Children ages 12 and younger are FREE!


Show Vehicles
Show vehicles must register between 7 a.m.—9 a.m. at the appointed show entrance. The registration form for show entries can be printed directly from the Madison College Pride In Your Ride Car Show webpage. Please fill out both sections of the form as one section will be submitted for registration and one section will remain displayed in the show vehicle. Registration forms will also be available the day of the event. Car clubs are encouraged to park show vehicles as a group. Contact Danika Woods or Tim Hoege to coordinate club participation (contact info below).

Show vehicle entry includes t-shirt, dash plaque and two adult admissions:
Cars and trucks $15 donation
Motorcycles $10 donation

Vehicle Judging
ACRR Students will perform the majority of the judging and award custom trophies that they have designed and fabricated for this event. Celebrity guests Aaron Kaufman, Mitch Lanzini, Cristy Lee and Leah Gall will also judge and award trophies to their own show favorites.

Was it a good show?

I never liked the class 1970-1979.. impossible to compete with the myriad of high dollar '70 to'73/74 muscle car resto's.

The class should be split 70 to 74 and 75 to 79. 2 different era's of vehicle types.
