CALLING ALL H-BODIES!!!

We are proud to announce the comeback of the Quaker City event for 2015. The show will kick off with a cruise in at Summit Racing on Friday, June 12th, 2015 from 6-9 PM. The car show will be on Saturday, June 13th, 2015 at Quaker City Motorsports Park. Gates open at 10 AM. We are also having a Sunday morning brunch and a possible cruise over to the Lordstown assembly plant afterward. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Will there be a vendor's area for selling parts there? I hope to have some cars stripped down by then, and Ohio is my home state!

Yes we will have an area for swap meet items . 1 rule you bring it there and dont sell it you must take it home with you! And there will be a small fee to help the event along probably $20 per space 10×10

According to the flyer it's near Boardman, Ohio. At least that's where the hotel is. It's about 4 hours from us. Maybe we should start a caravan from SE Michigan.

Yes its in Salem Ohio. Summit racing is about 45 min from eastern Ohio Boarder off I80 .Quaker City is about 30 min south east of there. We would love to have you guys come to this show we have not gotten many cars from up that way . I am also trying to figure out some convoy pickup points. There has been a lot of positive feed back to this event about 30 cars already said they are coming on the first day. This is going to be a Big event.i have also gotten Summit to supply goody bags to the first 50 cars that register.they will be given out at summit those who pre register and can make it till Saturday will get it at Track.

There is a new Holiday Inn Express under construction in Salem Ohio that should be open by then.

With the suggestion of a possible visit to the Lordstown plant, I wondered if this was any sort of anniversary year or not....

I thought, for Vega's.. We're a year short for the 45th year of the introduction of 1971....however, 2015 will be the 40th anniversary of the 75 Vega, which includes the Cosworth.

For the Monza, it's an odd year for the start of 2+2 production.. But it's a 35 year anniversary of the last one rolling down the Production line. Nov 1980)
On a side note, just think mid next week mark's 39 years since the last H body, a silver Monza coupe, rolled off the production line.

It's also a 40th year for the introduction of the Monza, but they were being produced at that time in Canada and California.

Maybe these could be used to sell the event to GM staff, granting us a tour, and ahem, just dreaming out loud here...possibly even bring down the H bodies it has in storage.? Just a tour would be cool. And double cool if they had some pictures to share of that time in the plant.
